The employees here are amazing and always able to help!! The selection is great and their return policy on treats and food is a lifesaver! I bought training treats for my rescue Nickels to get him properly houstrained, but when we got back to the house he wouldn't have anything to do with them. When I returned to PetSmart they offered me a full cash refund or the option to just exchange the treats. I just needed the receipt and original packaging. I found some he loves now and everything is great! I'm definitely continuing to shop here.
Save yourself the hassle of going to this location in particular. The store is often messy, the associates would prefer to stock shelves than assist customers and managers lack basic customer service skills—assisting a basic transaction adjustment. Who knew? I work retail management and do everything I can to make sure my guests leave happy. I understand the idea of protecting your assets (and their prices to stay competitive and drive results). However, unlike the associates here I also understand the importance in building rapport with clients. Losing a lifetime customer to a simple transaction is a no brainer. I’ll keep the customer rather than jeopardize their loyalty. I guess i should really be thanking this store for making my choice between in store and online shopping easy for me! Online shopping at either Amazon or Chewy, both offer free doorstep delivery. I’ll consider this a win!
The store variety was good but service was pathetic. The item I was purchasing was on sale and rang up full price. The girl at register, who obviously didn't want to be at work, tried calling somebody to price check. Nobody replied. Another girl who was passing by went to check the price and found it was what i said. Now we had to track down a register key. I seriously wasted what felt like 10 minutes and they couldnt have cared less. After they fixed it, i paid and didn't even get a thank you or an apology for the hassle. Meanwhile we were waiting there were 3 girls all whining about wanting to go on break and blah blah blah. Must be a miserable place to work from what i gathered. Not what you want the customer to be hearing. I get that things don't always ring up correctly but it's how you handle it that makes the difference and this place failed! Won't be back.
They sell ROACHES EWWW ONE In a sealed container about 1inch long half inch wide. As well as tiny ROACHES to feed your pet? What if some got away you will have a roach infestations problem? Whatever pet eats that I would not buy! Other than that they are usually short staffed I have educated them on frogs. Other animals they carry. The associate told us that an anole lizard could live with my Australian white tree frogs. I have had these type of frogs for more then 20 years and they would try to eat a lizard. I have also educated them on male female. It is a very intresting way to tell if they are male or female they have to be mature enough. The girl helping had no idea and lost the lizard we were putting in a separate cage/ environment.
I happen to really like the store. They have a good selection of food and the staff is super helpful. The trainers are super helpful and have many ideas for behavior lessons and any questions need to be answered. They are always ready to help.
