Todd came out and gave us an estimate to fix work done to our basement barthroom and laundry room that a handyman, who claimed to be licensed, did. He was very nice and very straight forward, which I appreciated. He also suggested having some of the work done by an HVAC specialist, which was again refreshing and showed his character, by putting quality of work first instead of his paycheck. Nice guy, give him a call!
I couldn't believe how difficult it was to find a basement finishing company that could offer real wood core doors (a must for us) at a fair price.. Let alone one that was also highly reviewed and offered a clear contract prior to signing. These guys didn't disappoint! Todd and his team were great to work with and expectations and beyond. They finished within a week of their estimated time and came back out to replace a thin mirror that had warped without question! I would highly recommend these guys and will be using them again for our future home!
Our experience with Utah Basement has been positive from start to finish. My husband and I had a couple of other companies come over and assess, but Todd was, by far, the most down-to-earth, personable and kind, which was why we decided to go with him. It was a quick and easy decision once we met with Todd. He spent over an hour in our home during the first visit, inspecting our house and sharing his recommendations. The staff was very organized. We were given paperwork, a schedule, follow-up calls and everything that was needed during the weeks leading up to the actual project. My husband and I had many phone conversations with Todd. He almost always answered his phone, and if he was in a meeting or on another project, he always returned our calls very promptly. Throughout the entire process, he has been of great assistance, and offering assurances along the way. Even after the project, I’ve had 3 different conversations with him. The customer service has been exceptional – Mario and the crews. Jen is very personable and caring, and she has shown exceptional service during the course of this project. I was always greeted with a smile by crew members, and they would always take time to explain what they were doing, if I was curious about the process. These guys worked their butts off for 6 weeks – with a positive attitude. They even cleaned up after themselves. They all worked together as a team. They always seemed to communicate very efficiently with each other very effectively, which created supreme efficiency.
I normally do everything my self but haven't had the time lately to do so. These guys were so fast. Within 2 weeks we were 90% complete for a unfinished basement section. Quality work and they kept me in the loop with the website updates. Very efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Well worth the money.
We recently decided to completely finish our basement. Utah Basement exceeded our expectations regarding quality, customer service and follow-through on promises. The finished basement was ~1500 sqft, and included 3 bedrooms, a bathroom/shower, a full sized wet-bar and a theater room (with fireplace). They always worked with us and were very flexible, the team is made up of can-do attitude employees. Example: during framing we felt a wall was off by 6" and by the time I came back that evening the wall was moved, no questions asked. All projects had high attention to detail, no short cuts. Throughout the project they treated our house with respect and care, and employees always answered with "we want you to be happy" ...and we are. Our family loves the new space! Thank you Todd, Jen, Mario, Jose and all the others that helped our family!
